Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico. She's an American-Mexican actress. She also sings. She was raised by her mother in the USA. Raised with racial taunts and made to feel unwanted. The confidence started to build during the 9th grade, after she took part in a school audition. She received a lot of praise for her performance. The event not only helped the confidence of her, but also altered her outlook on the future. In 1992, she received her master's degree from the city's Julliard School. In 1993, she made her Broadway debut in Paul Simon's The Capeman. Her first film was called You've Got Mail. Her most memorable break came from the role of The Lady of The Lake as she appeared in the first Broadway production of Spamalot. The show won her the Tony Award and received great praise for the performance. In 2007 she was cast in the ABC show Grey's Anatomy and became more famous. Apart from being an acclaimed singer she has released two solo albums and a longer piece. In addition, she is a LGBT activist.
